Launching in 2026: A Blended Malt Matured on Yakushima
Yakushima, a World Natural Heritage site, is an island blessed with abundant water and a range of steep mountains. ‘MARS The Y.A.’ is a Japanese whisky made by blending malt whiskies from Mount Komagatake and Tsukuni, matured in the MARS Yakushima Ageing Cellar on the island.
‘#05’ is a blend centred on malt spirits matured in bourbon barrels. It offers a sweet aroma with a hint of white smoke, a gentle saltiness evocative of the tropical island of Yakushima—also known as the ‘Island of Water’—and a fruity, refreshing finish.

At ‘BAR Shinkai’, we serve this whisky by the glass: 45ml for 3,300 yen, 30ml for 2,200 yen, and 15ml for 1,100 yen.
