We are pleased to announce the launch of the ‘KANOSUKE Collaboration Series’, which explores new flavour possibilities through the exchange of raw spirits with distilleries both in Japan and overseas.
As the first release in the series, we are launching ‘01 KANOSUKE×SABUROMARU’, created in collaboration with Saburomaru Distillery in Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture.
The theme of this product is ‘Mellow Meets Peated’. Rather than emphasising a powerful peat profile, the briny peat and gentle smoke harmonise with KANOSUKE’s characteristic mellow character and fruity notes. We invite you to enjoy this special flavour, born from the convergence of the technical expertise and artistic sensibilities of both distilleries.
Both Kanosuke Distillery and Saburomaru Distillery are contemporaries set to lead the next generation of Japanese whisky; rooted in Japan’s long history of distilling, they began full-scale whisky production in 2017. We believe that this collaboration, which combines their respective individualities, will not only create new value but also contribute to the development and sustainability of the Japanese whisky industry as a whole. Furthermore, this blended malt Japanese whisky will be released simultaneously with ‘Saburomaru Ryuko ~DOUBLE DISTILLERY~ SABUROMARU×KANOSUKE’, which is being launched by Saburomaru Distillery.
