Limited to 2,274 bottles: Single Malt Whisky
In November 2016, the Mars Tsukumi Distillery opened in Tsukumi, Minamisatsuma City. ‘Single Malt Komagatake Tsukumi Ageing’ is a single malt whisky released to commemorate the opening of this new distillery.
It is a vatting of 10 casks of malt spirit distilled in 2013 at the Mars Shinshu Distillery and matured for three years in bourbon casks in the stone storehouse in Tsukumi.
This single malt whisky features a harmonious balance of sweetness derived from the bourbon casks and peaty aromas, with subtle fruity notes of orange and banana.
We hope you will appreciate the potential for whisky-making in Tsukumi, the birthplace of Hombo Shuzo, where distillation is about to commence.
