A limited edition of our flagship ‘Kanosuke Single Malt’.
We have captured the fresh scent of beach roses—which herald the arrival of spring at Fukiagehama—and the gentle sea breeze through a cask finish.
The key malts used are base spirits that have been further matured in apple brandy casks (for the bourbon-cask-matured spirit) and white wine casks (for the shochu-rich cask-matured spirit).
Furthermore, a blend of spirits from multiple sherry casks adds depth and complexity to the flavour, whilst a small amount of peated spirit provides a crisp finish.
Additionally, the ‘slow dilution’ technique—which involves diluting the spirit over a longer period than usual—allows the alcohol and water to blend gently, imparting even greater roundness to the flavour.
Light floral aromas unfold, accompanied by a refreshing fruitiness reminiscent of yuzu paste and a rounded sweetness, with a long-lasting, pleasant finish of grapefruit and sea breeze.
