Ken-Ten Jitsugyo Co., Ltd.’s Akkeshi Distillery is launching three varieties from the Akkeshi Single Malt Japanese Whisky ‘HOKUSAI NORTH COLORS’ series: Suirei, Kusui and Kokiake.
The second release in the series is the ‘Akkeshi Single Malt Japanese Whisky HOKUSAI NORTH COLORS Kūsui’.
All three products in this series will be available for pre-order via ANA’s international in-flight duty-free pre-order service.
The Akkeshi ‘HOKUSAI NORTH COLORS’ range was conceived under the concept: ‘What if Hokusai had visited Akkeshi…?’
This series of three varieties, each with distinct flavours, aromas and colour tones, forms a unique line-up that seems to depict Hokkaido’s nature and four seasons through Hokusai’s eyes.
Whilst maintaining the craftsmanship we have always cherished, this represents a new challenge that sets itself apart from our conventional products, with a strong emphasis on the fusion of art and culture.
Furthermore, the packaging of each bottle is designed so that when the three bottles are placed side by side, the full panorama of the world-famous painting ‘Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji: The Great Wave off Kanagawa’ is revealed, making it a product of interest as an art piece that can be enjoyed both visually and through the palate.
