This is a Japanese single malt made exclusively from Asaka original spirit fermented in wooden washbacks, a process initiated by the Asaka Distillery in 2020.
As this is the first release of a single malt Asaka Peated made solely using wooden washbacks, it has been named 1st Wooden Washback.
It uses a heavily peated malt with a phenol value of 50ppm. Enjoy the complex, rich aroma and smoky flavour unique to Asakura.
