Shizuoka Distillery, which started operation in 2016, is a distillery that has truly inherited the lineage of the Karuizawa Distillery, having won the auction for the legendary Karuizawa Distillery’s pot still and revived it as “Pot Still K” through overhaul.
In contrast to the “Pot Still K,” Shizuoka Distillery has another distillation unit.
Pot Still W” is the world’s only wood-fired direct-heating distillery.
It distills at a considerably higher temperature than general indirect-heating distillation, and produces a thicker, mellower flavor.
Distilled by “Pot Still W,” which is unique in the world. It has been aged for only three years since it was casked in 2021, but because it is aged in small octavo (50L) barrels, it has reached its full maturity in a short period of time.
The bottle label is our original label in addition to the official Shizuoka distillery label.
As with the previous Ichiro’s Malt PB, our bartender Higashi was in charge of the design, which was inspired by the “Tokyo Tower,” a symbol of Tokyo’s Minato Ward, where BAR Shinkai is located.
