【New Item】Single Cask Shizuoka Potstill K x Japanese Barley for BAR Shinkai

Speaking of Shizuoka Distillery, which started operation in 2016, it is truly a distillery that carries on the lineage of Karuizawa Distillery, having won the auction for the legendary Karuizawa Distillery pot still and revived it as “Pot Still K” through overhaul.

Ironically, the original distillate left at the Karuizawa Distillery ended up in the hands of an English distiller, but a few years later, the first “Karuizawa 1960” was sold for 2 million dollars, and it is said to be sold for more than 50 million dollars now.

It is distilled by the legendary Karuizawa distiller “Pot Still K”. It is only three years old since it was casked in 2021, but because it is aged in small octavo (50L) barrels, it has reached a sufficient maturity in a short period of time.

The bottle label is our original label in addition to the official Shizuoka distillery label.
As with the previous Ichiro’s Malt PB, our bartender Higashi was in charge of the design, using the “Rainbow Bridge” motif that symbolizes Tokyo’s Minato Ward, where BAR Shinkai is located.

We hope you will enjoy this private bottle from the Shizuoka distillery, which is a successor to the Karuizawa distillery.
