＜Announcement of The First Japanese Whisky Tasting Event＠Shibadaimon BAR Shinkai＞
Japanese whisky has been highly acclaimed in the world’s most prestigious competitions over the past decade or so, and has become very popular around the world. Suntory, Nikka, and in recent years, Chichibu distillery of Ichiro’s Malt has won the world’s highest award for five years in a row.
However, the number of Japanese whiskies distributed in the market is very small, due to the small number of bottled whiskies in storage and the small amount produced to begin with. This has led to a sharp rise in prices, and it is a fact that buyouts for the purpose of resale are rampant.
We visited the producers (whisky distilleries) and heard directly from the makers about their passion and commitment to whisky making, as well as the characteristics of their land, environment, and raw materials, and were impressed by their love and passion for whisky making.
We would like to provide an opportunity to offer a small selection of Japanese whisky at a reasonable price as part of our mission as a bar. We have picked 6 whiskies for this tasting event.
For this first edition, we have selected new whiskies from craft distilleries that were released between last year and this year. The participation fee is not inexpensive due to the high list price of each product, but the content is very worth it. We will be serving 6 types of Japanese whiskies and 6 types of snacks to go with them.
Whether you are a whisky expert or a beginner who wants to learn, we hope you will not hesitate to join us.
