Fuji Sanroku Signature Blend

Fuji Sanroku Signature Blend is a blended whisky created by the world’s best blending technology using carefully selected whisky that has reached the peak of its maturity. It is a premium whisky created by the blending technique of Master Blender Jota Tanaka, who won the World’s Best Award at the Gotemba Distillery’s world-renowned grain whisky, IOW2017*. Originally, this product was sold exclusively at the Fuji Gotemba Distillery’s factory store and the Kirin online store “DRINX” since April 2017. It went on sale on August 21, 2018.

Fuji Sanroku is proud to present a carefully selected blend of sake that has reached the peak of its maturity.

One of the characteristics of this whisky is that it focuses on the different stages of maturation depending on the raw materials used (malt, cask wood, etc.) without regard to the age of maturation, and blends the raw materials that are at their peak maturity (*maturation peak).
This whisky is a symbol of Fuji Gotemba Distillery and was created by Master Blender Jota Tanaka’s skillful blending technique, using mainly the original sake that has reached the peak of maturation. It has a fruity and gorgeous fruity aroma reminiscent of pear, pineapple, and orange peel, and a multilayered, mature taste with sweet and aromatic flavors like brown sugar and baked sweets.

*Maturation Peak
The peak of maturity refers to the stage in which the original aromatic characteristics and individuality of each whisky are best expressed. The timing of peak maturation varies depending on the properties of the distillate before maturation in cask, the type of cask, and the environment of temperature and humidity, resulting in differences in the maturation trajectory of the original whisky.

Nose: Melon, lemon, lime, persimmon, nuts, and green apple precede, followed by vanilla and wafers.
Taste: spicy straight, but with added water, bittersweetness and acidity precede, with a sweet finish.
Lingering: Complex, deep and pleasantly lingering, with a noble, mature aroma.

When poured into a glass, this one has a richer color than the 50° Barrel Aged Original, and the fruity aroma is followed by a sweet, mellow aroma like vanilla and caramel. The lingering aroma alone will keep you enjoying a glass for an hour. The taste is mellow and rounded, with a sweet, mellow oak maturation. Although the alcohol content is the same at 50°, the barrel-aged 50° still has a rough, rough feel, while the Signature Blend has a mellow, mature, and deep flavor that does not feel high in alcohol.
