1.Shiba Daimon BAR Shinkai opened on 7/8/2019.

As we announced in our last newsletter, our group’s third restaurant, Shiba Daimon BAR Shinkai, opened successfully on July 8, 2019 (Monday).

We were busy preparing until the very last minute, even giving up sleep time to work on preparations, and managed to open on the scheduled date of July 8.

Compared to the Toranomon store, we were busy with preparations until the very last minute before the store opened, and even gave up some of our sleep to work on preparations.The restaurant has a high ceiling that gives it a sense of openness, a simple interior with a wood grain, black, and white base color, and a classy marble-like counter called “moldex.

The same lineup of drinks and food will be handled as at Toranomon BAR Shinkai.

2.New Item「Craft Gin Utagawa」

Here are the new arrivals for July.

This craft gin is made from nine botanicals, including jeniper berries.
The addition of lavender, in particular, provides a soothing and relaxing aromatic experience with each sip.

3.This Month’s Sake

「Yoichi Peaty & Salty」

This month we will continue to introduce the sake recommended by BAR Shinkai.

◆Yoichi Peaty & Salty [Yoichi Distillery Limited ]

We purchased this distillery when we visited Yoichi distillery in July for employee training.
It is part of a concept series sold exclusively at the distillery.
Single malt Yoichi is a whisky characterized by its smoky flavor with plenty of peat, as featured in NHK’s morning drama “Massan”.
This product is a single malt with this very concept of smoky flavor.

The aroma coming from the bottle is peaty itself with a hint of tide.
When drunk on the rocks, the aroma of peat, like iodine or seirogan, comes in strong as if it is penetrated through the nose. The strength of the aroma exceeds that of Laphroaig 10 years old.
The taste is also mainly pungent and salty due to the alcohol stimulation, with almost no sweetness.
Even when watered, the strong aroma and taste do not diminish, but the stimulation of alcohol is reduced and a citrus-like acidity appears.

4.Japanese Craft GIN “SAKURAO LIMITED”

We highly recommend our domestic craft GIN.

This month, GIN introduces “Sakurao LIMITED”.
While “Sakurao ORIGINAL” is made from 14 botanicals, including those produced in Hiroshima, “Sakurao LIMITED” is made from 17 carefully selected botanicals from Hiroshima Prefecture, which is rich in produce from the mountains and the sea.
It is manufactured using a hybrid method that simultaneously uses the steeping method, in which botanicals are soaked in base spirits and distilled, and the vapor method, in which botanicals are placed in baskets along the distillation route and flavors are extracted as the alcohol vapor passes through the baskets.
Sakurao LIMITED, whose flavors are extracted using the optimal method for each of the 17 botanicals, is accented with “sakura-ko,” the symbol of the place where the company was founded, and has an impressive lingering citrus aroma.
This is the first purely domestic gin produced exclusively with botanicals from Hiroshima Prefecture, including juniper berries.

5.Seasonal Fruit Cocktails「Passion fruit」

The season has turned into summer and the days are hot.
What is appropriate for such a day is “passion fruit,” a tropical fruit.
Passion fruit cocktail based on ripe passion fruit and rum.
Refreshing yet sweet and sour.A perfect cocktail for this season!
We always purchase seasonal fruits and serve them in cocktails.
Watermelon, peaches, kiwi, passion fruit, etc. will be available in August.
