The second joint bottling by Liquors Hasegawa, Bar Mizunara Kazuhisa, Mejiro Tanakaya, and RUDDER has just arrived.
The bottle is named after “hanaguhashi,” an idiom meaning “beautiful flower,” and is found in the Nihon Shoki (Chronicles of Japan) and Manyoshu (Japan’s oldest anthology of poetry) as a byword for “sakura” (cherry blossoms) and “reeds.
Kalimpani” is an Ainu word meaning ‘Ezo mountain cherry,’ and the label design is decorated with these elements.
This bottle is a single malt whisky specially produced by the Atsugishi Distillery using their own recipe, and is the second limited edition product following the blended malt “Deer Path”.
It is the second limited edition product following the blended malt “Deer Trail.” The main ingredient is sherry cask-aged whiskey, which is a special composition rarely seen in regular releases. The unique flavor is achieved by blending the sake aged in oak and cherry wood barrels, which have been processed into mirror-plates.
This is a special bottle to be savored under the “beautifully blooming night cherry blossoms of Akkeshi.
