The theme of the 2025 Ardbeg Day bottle is “High Gravity Experiment”.
It features an astronomically fruity aroma due to the original brew made with a higher than usual amount of malt.
An experiment in high gravity mash*, this bottle is made with high-sugar wort.
The first sip reveals the sweetness of tropical fruits and brown sugar, and the Ardbeg universe, the “Smokyverse,” unfolds as if you are being sucked into it.
TASTING NOTE
Color: Light golden
Nose: Smoky, balloon-gum, and fruity, blending with notes of ripe barley and toasted natural yeast bread. When watered, it reveals dense, sweet, savory smoke with tropical fruit.
Taste: The rich, creamy mouthfeel reveals sharp, spicy aromas reminiscent of creosote, aniseed and clove. A pronounced sweetness reminiscent of brown sugar softens the rich, woody, charcoal-like aroma.
Lingering: Long, lingering finish reminiscent of peat moss and the embers of a bonfire.
