This is already the 15th installment of the “Twenty-Four Season Series.
Nijushisekki, or 24 seasonal divisions, were introduced from China. The 24th day of the year is divided into 24 equal parts and the seasons are named accordingly, such as the vernal equinox and summer solstice.
It is around the time of “Kokuu” when Fugen elephants in Akkeshi town start to wear pale, neat, light pink flowers. This time, Akkeshi “Grain Rain” is also a traditional classic blend. More than half of the malt whisky from the Akkeshi distillation is lavishly blended to pursue a deep taste and a great drinking experience.
