This single malt was distilled at the Kameda Distillery in Niigata.
Made primarily from peated malt, it offers a flavour profile characterised by a robust smokiness underpinned by a gentle, refined sweetness.
Matured predominantly in first-fill bourbon casks, with sherry cask-aged spirit added as an accent, the blend delivers a complex aroma where smoky notes are layered with hints of nuts and subtle fruit, creating a rich depth of flavour.
On the palate, the rich peatiness and mellow malt sweetness harmonise beautifully, leaving a long, quietly smoky finish.
Inspired by **‘Capricorn’**, a sign that embodies strength of character beneath a solid exterior, this is a bottle unique to the Zodiac Sign Series.
This is a whisky to be savoured slowly over time.
Following the packaging design of the first release, ‘Pisces’, this bottle also features a variety of motifs associated with Niigata Prefecture.
The packaging design, continuing from the first release ‘Pisces’, is composed in such a way that when placed side by side, they form a single complete picture.
We will continue to express the diverse charms of Niigata through the zodiac signs to be released in the future.
